Spark of Redemption - Book 6 (Ebook)

Spark of Redemption - Book 6 (Ebook)

The MacKenny family has six brothers, of which I’m the youngest.

They are all honest men, but I’m not.
I lie, I cheat, and I’ll do anything to get what I want.

My life got complicated the day my girlfriend walked in on me with another woman. It meant nothing, but to Annette, it was the ultimate betrayal.
Annette should have called before her surprise visit, but I suppose her grandmother dying was why she didn’t.

I don’t deserve a second chance, but the universe conspires to give me one.

What would you do if the woman you loved lost her memory and didn’t remember what a bastard you are but instead went back to a time when you were in love?
Would you go along with it?
Would you do anything to keep her in the dark?

I’m not wasting the time we have together. My brothers can go to hell, this is my redemption, and I’ll do whatever is necessary to keep Annette and prove I can be the man she needs me to be.

What another emotional ride. Lochlan knows he has done wrong. He'll do anything for Annette to forgive him. This family has each other's back defiantly during tragedy. Love the characters in the series.

I read a great number of MC books and I was getting tired of the same storylines. I'm very glad I happened upon this author and this series as they are very slightly the same as most MC stories
with the big difference being the characters are enjoyable and the stories interesting and very entertaining. Loved the series!

Standing in the cemetery, I’m watching from a distance as they lower Annie’s coffin into the ground. It’s raining, and I let myself get soaked. The entire MC is here, a lot of the town’s people and Annette. She’s standing stoically by herself, head bowed, and I want so badly to go to her, but I know she doesn’t want me here. After she found me with Sabine, I’ve tried to call her, to explain, to lie, but she wants nothing to do with me.
Even though I am straining, I can’t hear the preacher from where I’m standing. I’m sure he’s saying what a good, god-fearing woman Annie was and how everyone loved her. Kyle moves to stand next to Annette. I watch as he puts an arm around her, and she leans into him. Her body seems to sag, and Kyle dips his head at Sean, who moves to stand on her other side. Both my brothers are holding her up, being her strength when it should be me.
People begin to walk away, but Annette, flanked by my brothers, stays as they lower Annie into the ground.
“You’re brave, coming to this.”
Turning, I find Cutter. He’s in the Loyal Rebels MC and is their enforcer.
“Not so. If I were brave, I’d be standing with family instead of here, by myself.”
Cutter chuckles. “Kyle wants to skin you alive for what you did.”
Sighing, I look up at the sky, letting the rain hit my face. “It meant nothing. Sabine is an old friend.”
Cutter lets out a long, low whistle. “It meant something to Annette.”
Shaking my head, I pin him with a look. “It’s none of your business.”
Cutter laughs. “No, it’s not.” He tilts his head toward the dispersing crowd. “Kyle wants to see you. He told me to find you and tell you he expects you to come to the clubhouse at eight. Annette should be gone by then.”
“Well, like the good little lap dog you are, you’ve told me. Now go.”
Cutter grins. “I’m going.” He raises his eyebrows and smirks. “Seeing as Annette is single, I might go comfort her. It seems she could use a man about now.”
The blood in my veins runs cold, and I grab Cutter by his cut and walk him backward until he hits a mausoleum. Cutter laughs, and I shove him hard against the stone wall, his head thumping against it loudly.
“You best get your hands off me, Loch.”
Anger clouds my vision, and I raise my fist. The next thing I know, I’m face down in the dirt with Cutter on top of me.
He leans down, his mouth close to my ear, and he whispers, “I’ve killed men for less. You’re lucky your brother is my president, or I’d gut you and put your body somewhere they’d never find you.” Cutter pushes my face into the wet dirt. “See you tonight, after eight.”
He stands and walks away. I flip over, angry at having been bested and relieved he didn’t kill me. Cutter is Kyle’s psychopath, the enforcer he uses to do the things he can’t or won’t do. I’m incredibly lucky to still be breathing.
