Savage Sacrifice - Book 5 (Ebook)

Savage Sacrifice - Book 5 (Ebook)

What would you sacrifice?
For those you trust, for those you’re loyal to, for those you love.

When I married Kat, I vowed to her not only my love but my club, my honor, my life.
So when I confront her about the pictures of her kissing bad boy rocker, Will Van Ryken, a whole world of hell rains down on me.
Feeling guilty, ashamed and disgusted in my behavior, I head back home knowing what I must sacrifice.
For my wife, my club, my family.

But it seems Will has some dirty secrets of his own, and when the Savage Angels receive a tip about his associations with a known drug lord, they instantly fear Kat may be slipping back into old habits.

Can the Grinders and my club work together to keep my woman safe from the clutches of this devil in disguise?

Or will the savage sacrifice I must make rip apart not only my marriage but my club?

Kathleen Kelly has done it again. At the end of Savage Lover, Kat leaves Dane to go touring with her band The Grinders. This book takes up where book five left off. Kat and Dane have many struggles and miscommunication between them. This is their fight to stay together. I highly recommend this book and this author.if you haven't read this series, I recommend you start with book one. You will not be disappointed. I look forward to reading Ms. Kelly's next book.

Dane and I had yet another argument about me being on the road and him wanting me to come home. The call ended with me slamming the phone down in frustration. I’ve told him he’s welcome to come with me, but he keeps saying how busy he is with the MC, and he needs to stay.
Well, I need to stay too, away from him and our problems. Grabbing my keys, I take the elevator to the hotel bar. I have no fucking idea what city I’m in, the perks of being a rock star, management looks after all the travel, and we go along for the ride. When I walk into the bar, I can’t see any familiar faces, so I head for the first available table and throw my ass into a chair.
A server approaches me. “What can I get you, ma’am?”
“How about a husband who understands me and a less complicated life?” I throw at her sarcastically.
“Ma’am?”
“A bottle of Dom will do,” I say petulantly.
She smiles and walks away. Glancing around the room, I don’t make eye contact with anyone on the off chance they take it as an invitation to join me. I should have stayed in my room, but I couldn’t stand to be by myself after the disagreement with Dane.
I miss him. I know I said I’d be home in six months, but both The Grinders and Rockplay are doing well. We need to capitalize on that and do the fucking tour, except the fucking tour got extended. I knew it might happen, but I didn’t think our album would sell as well as it’s been doing.
“Hello, Kat!” yells a very drunk Will Van Ryken as he falls into the chair opposite me.
“Will,” I say, with no emotion in my voice.
“I thought the very precious Kat Saunders didn’t do bars anymore?”
“I needed to get out of my room,” I explain.
The server comes back with an ice bucket and my Dom. After she places a glass in front of me, she opens the bottle, pouring a small amount into the glass. I sip it, enjoying the liquid as it slides down my throat. Satisfied it’s good, I nod at her, and she fills it again.
“You’re drinking?” asks Will, slurring his words.
“It would appear so.”
The server comes back with another glass for Will, but before she can pour his drink, he grabs the bottle and takes a swig out of it, grinning at me as he does. Great. Well, at least, I got one glass.
“Aww, come on, Kat, why so glum?”
While sipping my drink, I look him in the eye. “You’re a fuck-up, you know that? You have an opportunity to make a real comeback with this album and tour, but you’re going to piss it all away, aren’t you?”
“Ahh, I know what this is! You’re upset as this is your first marriage, and it’s fucked already.” I cock an eyebrow at him. “Tell me I’m wrong, tell me your marriage is rock solid, and I’ll leave you the fuck alone.”
My face feels hot, and I’m sure I’ve gone red. To get my emotions under control, I take another sip of champagne, feeling tears pricking the back of my eyelids.
“Shit. Sorry, Kat. I am a fuck-up.” He reaches across the table and grabs one of my hands. “Forgive me. I’m full of piss and bad manners. Let’s have a meal, and you can tell me all about it. After all, I have been married twice, and I might have some valuable information to impart.”
A camera flash goes off, and I turn toward it.
“Kat, how long have you been dating Will Van Ryken?” yells a man.
Abruptly, I stand, and Will does too. Without a word, he pushes the cameraman away, then smiles at me, grabs my hand, and takes me to the elevators. Everything happened so fast. I don’t resist and follow him. Once inside, he hits the button for the top floor.
“Will, I think I’ll just go back to my room.”
“Fuck that. Let’s eat. The restaurant has a great view, and the food is good.”
It’s then I realize he’s not drunk anymore.
“Was it all a fucking act downstairs?”
He looks at me sheepishly. “I have an image to uphold, but I meant it when I said you could talk to me.”
Will smiles at me, and for the first time, I realize maybe he isn’t the dick I’ve always thought he was.
“The food better be good,” is all I say.
